Instead of observing flowers in nature, Andy Warhol found his botanical inspiration in a 1964 issue of Modern Photography. He transformed a photograph of hibiscus blossoms into a technicolor series of silkscreens, each simply titled Flowers For me, there are several important things in these works. First of all, this is a tribute to the Warhol’s “Flowers” series. Many decades have passed since the series was created, and the image of flowers has become part of pop art culture. My paintings are made in the technique of stencil painting(I transfer the drawing using a stencil), which also corresponds to Andy's original idea of creating the artwork mechanically. It is also interesting that Andy did not draw these flowers from nature, but drew them from a photo of an artist unknown to him, so I am using a photo of his paintings as a reference instead. I created a whole series of similar paintings using stencils, changing the colors or sizes of the flowers. It was also characteristic of Andy Wargol (in this series he used the silkscreen technique, it is an opportunity to create an unlimited number of similar paintings). In this way, I draw not just flowers, but Andy Warhol's flowers, using his techniques, but not copying them. This is just my reply and acknowledgment of sympathy.

Ukraine
By buying paintings, you will support me as an artist, Ukrainian art and the economy. thank you! My style can be described as a graphical interpretation of Color Field painting, an abstract style that emerged in New York City during the 1940s and 1950s; and Minimalism, which has its origins in various art and design movements. Precise lines and clean, attractive colors are the basis of my paintings. First of all I am interested in form, contour, interrelationship of objects among themselves and general composition. The tension that is created between the forms and colors. At first glance, the paintings appear simple, but due to their size they create an enchanting impression, filling the space and becoming a fascinating texture on the wall. Check out my other page with more expressive paintings: On this page you will find paintings in a minimal and geometric style which is in line with Scandinavian, minimalist and more streamlined interiors.
