is a painter, animator, performer and musician. Born May 14, 1982 in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan, De Loyola studied painting at the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts and has participated in over 20 exhibitions since 1991. Force/Farce is her first solo exhibition. The artist reworks what is romantic and empirical, her subtle approach to painting bringing her viewers into a particular state and condition, with a particular emotion. She uses her personas and objects as metaphors in her existing world. Most of her works represent herself, people in her life and her surroundings as inspired by classic objects, her childhood, dreams and memories which reveal introspection with a sense of the magical. Her intention is to improve perception towards one character with action made most obvious when making self portraits or creating an environment by telling a human story on canvas. By experimenting on alter ego, music and movement with stop motion, invoking dramatic responses to the earth and other planets, her individuality is reflected through sensual experiences which she intends to express.
