ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was inspired after seeing a video of silver, black, gold and silver painting. I have not added many brushstrokes as it did not need them. It is a very abstract yet seductive painting which conveys a feeling of icy cold, frosty climate in a forest. I love the shimmery lights in silver and gold as if there is a hint of sun somewhere trying to peek through all the fogginess. It looks as if the snow has finished and all that is left is a hunger for warmth. I hope you will find this painting suitable for your beautiful home. It can be hung on a gray wall, or a dark navy wall, or of course black. Maybe over a bed or in a hallway or over a neutral fireplace. I chose acrylic for its flexibility and ease of flowing together to make beautiful shapes and colors, and uniqueness. I am inspired to produce more of these because they are so versatile and fascinating. Look for the next one soon!

I love moving beyond any preconceived ideas of what is possible. I love painting or fashioning the life I live, whether it is a new surface or a blank wall, a subtle flavor or a zinger to the taste buds. We must put on or thinking caps . Let’s see, instead of” “thinking caps”, we can put on a striped violet chapeaux with braided fringe and beaded bands, antennas and proboscus. Think colorful and elongated, puffy and bushy. Think cerebral and cloudy, misty and silver gray. Think animated and silly, magical and surprise. Think pastoral and serene or dusty road and stilted house. Think outlines and space or curly ques and petals. Think shrouded and mysterious or concrete and stones. Think slashing, sun laden, beach tinted and fishy. Think animal patterns, fuzzy caterpillars, gauzy butterflies, and sultry snakes. Have fun. Why be ordinary? I challenge all of us to blow the world away with the art we fashion.
