Liliana Esperanza Curriculum Vitae Lilliana Esperanza was born on December 15th, 1958 in the neighborhood of Haedo, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was not until 1992 that Lilliana first made a strong connection with the arts. She began attending workshops held by artists in and around Buenos Aires. Lilliana extracted motivation and knowledge from the workshops . She taught herself how to paint and she developed her own style using Photoshop to sketch out her ideas before putting paint to canvass. Over the following years Lilliana perfected her style and in 1996 she beagn to show here work in art galleries and expositions in her native Argentina as well as on the international stage. With the experience of presenting her work in public Liliana’s confidence grew and she decided to share her gift of painting with others, in 2002 she launced her own “Picasso Workshop”. She took on students and taught them to paint in various styles and raised their level of knowledge and appreciation of the arts. Over the years Liliana has taken on a variety of diverse and interesting projects, for example she was commissioned to design and produce the artwork for the CD "Mariachi Sol Azteca" by one of the most important mariachi groups in Argentina. She also entered into the world of television and took the opportunity to show her paintings on various Argentine TV shows such as Badía y Cía. – Canal 13 (1996), Show Creativo – Canal 13 (1999) and Contrapunto con Horacio Embón - Canal Solo Tango (2003). More recently in 2011, the author Martín Sotelano invited Lilliana to provide original images for his book "An approach to Tango Therapy, Research and Practice". Lilliana continues to work from her home studio in Buenos Aires, creating new images and ideas to share with the world. Meanwhile, some of her previous paintings can be found on display in institutions, museums and private collections in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, France, Spain, Italy and the United States of America.
