My name is Anastasiia Lytvyn, and I work with watercolor as a medium of quiet observation and focused attention. In my practice, I approach nature not as a subject to depict, but as a space of presence — mutable, fragile, and filled with light and rhythm. I am drawn to natural forms, plants, birds, and images that exist on the boundary between the tangible and the felt. I work with transparency, fluidity, and the tension between control and chance, allowing the image to gradually emerge within the space of the paper. For me, watercolor is not only a technique but a way of thinking. It requires attentiveness, trust in the process, and acceptance of unpredictability as part of the work. Through restrained color and open compositions, I create paintings that invite slow contemplation and quiet engagement. My work creates a space for pause — a place where nature reveals itself through nuance, and presence becomes the central experience.
