I am an Indian artist born (1974) at Chinsura, Hooghly near Kolkata, currently residing in Delhi-NCR, India. As a self-taught Indian artist, I use painting as a medium for deep self-expressions with each original work undergoing extensive experimentation before completion. I emphasize that every piece of painting is an original imagination. My work can be characterized by a deliberate use of symbolic color and a surrealist touch that seeks to describe a “harmonious state of mind”. Since childhood, I had intensive interest in astronomy, spirituality, Indian literature, ancient Indian mythology, Indian philosophy and Indian old traditional culture. As an impact of this, I was inspired to explore myself through paintings. My Paintings are original, conceptual paintings that primarily explore the themes of spirituality, natural harmony, a vibrant fusion of figurative realism, surrealism, Indian mythological themes, Indian cultural identity and femininity. A little description about my paintings created so-far given below. The detailed themes and my imagination can be had in all my respective paintings description part in Saatchi Art. A significant portion of my work is drawn from two Indian great epics (mostly from The Mahabharata and the other one is The Ramayana) featuring subjects like Shakuntala, Chitrangada, Satyawati, Damayanti and many others. These pieces often blend traditional cultural narratives with a modern, expressive aesthetic. My figurative art often draws from Indian cultural aesthetics, seen in the styling of traditional attire and jewelry in various portraits. In other works, such as ‘The Journey of Life’, I utilize surrealist elements (like deserts as a metaphor) to describe complex state of mind and the perfection or danger of the human experience. On the other hand, in some works like Alien, there is often manifests as a juxtaposition of the familiar (like earthly landscapes) with modern human being (Who may be appear to be extraterrestrial figures before the people near to earth), creating a visual tension that questions our sense of belonging. Initially the painting based on my story ‘Botswanay Arka’ (Arka in Botswana) which was published in a famous Bengali magazine, Anandamela. Others such as ‘Meditation’, ‘Meditative’ focus on achieving higher consciousness.
