Although the name I am now using is Natalie Parsons, my previous name was Natalie Ballard. Some of my paintings are signed as Natalie Ballard. I will try and add both names to the back of all paintings!
I have had a varied and exciting career over the last 25 years. I have worked as a textile designer, an artist, a graphic & web designer and a flash animator. I have created many animations for television shows for the BBC, Channel 4, E4, and Channel 5, and I have met some inspirational people along the way.
I always had a passion for art, drawing, textiles, and making and documenting things. I'm excited by life, people, especially things that make me laugh. Anything in my daily life can be a starting point for a painting, and I love the idea that a work takes on a life of it's own and leads me where it wants to go.
I grew up in Hertfordshire. I moved to Sussex to go to college, and ended up staying here. I have lived in Brighton on the south coast of England for 22 years.
