After completing my Fine Art Degree course at City & Guilds of London Art School in 2002, I was selected for the “Best of New British Graduates” by the public gallery Beatrice Royal and showed at the Battersea Art Fair. The following year one of my works was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Show, which got international attention as well as interviews – from Rolling Stone to the BBC. Since then I have been a practising artist joining art fairs, community projects and national and international group and solo shows regularly. For me personally turning an idea into an artwork is most rewarding. I mainly paint in oils on canvas or metal. I also use computers and photography extensively either as sketching tools or in their own right. Mostly I get inspired from contemporary life and visual media. I tend to create different images and genres in parallel rather than work in series. Perspective, spirituality, illusion, lights, politics or consumerism have all been subject to my work so far. Some give me hope, some I just love the look of it. Hoping with some, I provoked and made few ripples. Gerard Richter, Julien Opie, Andy Warhol, Richard Hamilton, David Hockney, M.C. Esher are some of the Artists whom I´m influenced by over the years.
