Born in Tehran in 1960 and now based in Limerick, Ireland, I am an artist whose work reflects both precision and emotion, structure and spontaneity. With a background in civil and environmental engineering, my early artistic practice was rooted in geometry and abstraction, influenced by my fascination with design, order, and balance. Gouache became my first medium of choice, allowing me to explore sharp formations and intricate colour patterns with clarity and precision. As my journey unfolded, so did my perspective. With time, my art began to reflect not only structure but also the natural world around me—its fragility, resilience, and beauty. I became deeply passionate about environmental impact and sustainability, finding new ways to transform recycled fabrics and materials into textured textile collages and crafts. These works embody both renewal and preservation, mirroring my belief that art can breathe new life into what might otherwise be discarded. Today, my practice embraces painting, mixed media, and fabric art, weaving together my love for colour, form, and nature. Each piece is an expression of my personal connection to the environment and my ongoing dialogue between precision and freedom, logic and emotion. Through my work, I invite viewers to pause, reflect, and see the beauty in both the structured and the organic, the enduring and the fleeting.
