Wei Zhang, born in Dalian, China, is a Chinese painting artist specializing in nature-themed artworks. She holds a Master’s degree in Chinese Painting from Tsinghua University. Growing up in China, her artworks are deeply influenced by traditional Chinese aesthetics and philosophy. In 2021, she relocated to New Jersey, USA, embarking on a new chapter of her artistic journey by blending Eastern traditions with contemporary perspectives. Zhang’s works employ traditional Chinese Gongbi and the Mogu techniques, using silk and Xuan paper as mediums. Her paintings capture the vitality of nature, reflecting the profound relationship and delicate balance between humanity and the natural world. At the same time, they create an Eastern poetic realm, inviting viewers to linger before her works, transform into the butterflies and birds within, and poetically wander through the fragile yet vibrant landscapes, finding inner peace and solace in the process.
