ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This oil painting on canvas is inspired by the plains of south west of Iran. The twin peaks anchor the painting and create a focal point against the fleeting clouds & the moody skies of the plains of Ghamishloo, about 10 km north of Isfahan, Iran. These plains were once the hunting grounds of Shahs or kings of Persia and since 1970’s have been converted into a conservation park. Ghamishloo is host to ghazals, Persian Ibex and grey wolf amongst other wildlife. Once can not help but be inspired and contemplate the power of nature in the quite beauty of this ancient place.
