Last year I saw a Gingo tree for the first time. I was inspired by the shape of its leaves - they are perfect and so unlike other trees. It is a tree with healing properties and an ancient history. The age of the Ginkgo biloba tree is the age of our Earth. I wanted to paint a dozen of these leaves in watercolour and amongst them, this work was born. The work is painted on two sides. On one side is a family of two Ginkgo leaves symbolising Yin and Yang. On the other side is a young Ginkgo leaf. You can frame it in a double-sided frame or change sides depending on your mood. The work is painted on Saunders Waterford 100% Cotton 300g/cm archival quality acid-free paper with watercolours Deniel Smith professional inks with the highest index of lightfastness. I choose my watercolours responsibly and only use the best materials. Displayed image size of the painting may vary from the actual size.

Ukraine
Hello. My name is Natalia and I live in Ukraine, in Kiev. To enjoy every new day, to create and to love - that's what is important for me now! Despite the fact that there is war in my country, I paint a lot. I paint - it means I live! I'm happy! My watercolors are my inner world. Nature inspires and I paint nature. Watercolor as a material fascinates by its subtlety. Everything is at the level of intuition and I know it's my material. I and watercolor- an integrated whole. At the moment there are 2 main directions in my work: abstracts and exact botanical drawings. The process of creating each work is an inspiration to me. Botanical painting accurately reproduces the structure and coloration of the plant. Abstract work gives free rein to my imagination and I write imaginary flowers and plants that live in me and my imagination. But one thing is certain - nature is perfect, it has no flaws. Since childhood I love to draw and observe plants. After graduating from drawing and science school, I decided to combine these two disciplines and become a botanical artist and illustrator. I am a watercolorist, graphic artist, calligrapher, ASBA (American Society of Botanical Arts) member, and am skilled in a variety of media, including watercolor, ink, colored and graphite pencils, and charcoal. I am a regular participant in international exhibitions and competitions. A very important event for me last year was the American Society of Botanical Artists ASBA exhibition "Dare to be Square", where my work was awarded and sold. This year my work was selected for the annual FABRIANOinAcqarello 2022. In my work I explore the depths and subtleties of the relationship between nature and man. I invite the viewer to experience the beauty of the world around them, to discover its perfection and subtlety - from the vein of a eucalyptus leaf to the curve of a rose petal. During last 8 years I wrote more than 2000 works. Many of them are in private collections in America, Germany, England, France, Denmark and Ukraine. Thank you for taking the time to visit my store, I am very pleased to meet you.
