I am an artist from South Korea who finds consolation in art especially in painting.
I paint mainly figures in daily life. I like to capture everyday moments in time, the moments we treasure. I prefer unpretentious and ordinary subjects in life and I want the theme of 'connection'(whether it be with people or place) exists in each of my paintings. The theme of being in the moment. We can find beauty in common scenes in ordinary life if we want to, like the saying by Henri Matisse - " There are always flowers for those who want to see them."
