ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I painted an area I am very familiar with and from which I live just a few miles. This painting is of Glenwood Springs canyon located on Western Slope of Colorado. I frequently drive through this canyon admiring its beauty. I finally decided to capture it - highlighting its multi-dimensional depth, expressive color range, and serenity while maintaining topographical accuracy. The Colorado River cuts through the Rocky Mountains as I-70 follows its curve. West Glenwood an be seen in this painting. "Glenwood Spring Canyon" is lightly varnished and ready to be stretched and framed. I left 2" around the perimeter of the painting. Enjoy.
