ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The cause and effect of Climate abnormality is a concern for all of us. I concentrated on showcasing feminine beauty, subtle expressions, and sensuality. I layered in symbolism with images depicting climate change, and global warming concerns.

Lili Miura was born in Yokahama, Japan and spent her early years in the Tokyo fashion and arts world, developing her unique style profiling a distinct Pan-Asian perspective to global cultural issues. Since moving to the United States years ago, Lili has developed a particularly arresting fusion between American and Asian art perspectives. Lili's major themes include visionary environmental issues as well as cross-cultural figurative projects. Despite the current political landscape, global climate change is the most important issue of our generation, actively impacting the health and potential existence of future generations. Lili's wave, seascape and cloud artwork make a strong exclamation for the need for societal change to preserve the future of our planet. Her work with figurative projects mark a distinct perspective between Asian and Western cultural concepts, and particularly between Japanese and American lifestyles. Seen through the eyes of one who has lived her life in both worlds, Lili brings to her art an unique understanding and viewpoint between traditional and modern Japanese culture combined with the optimism of American spirit. Lili currently lives in Ventura County and is currently working on new commissioned projects that continue her unique fusion art perspective. Lili has had a successful advertising and marketing career, building her own advertising agency with major international clientele in the South Bay area. She also was editor-in-chief of a widely-distributed life-style publication featuring established artists and prominent individuals.
