ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A part of a series of work titled In Memory Of. Inspired by the song "Sun Go Down" by the band Fat Night. Though it's an abstraction, it's acts as a narrative work as well. I see it as a moment of reflection. An individual standing in awe of the ocean, contemplating their life, the choices they made, and the possible futures that exist in front of them. As the cliché goes, each day is new opportunity. I hope that viewers of the work are able reflect upon themselves with examination and find contentment and hopefulness.
