Artist Luiza Happi was born in the small city of Naberezhnye Chelny, located in the Republic of Tatarstan. From an early age, her talent for drawing was recognized by her parents and teachers, who fully supported her passion for art. She attended art clubs and educational institutions where she nurtured her artistic abilities. Happi pursued her education at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow, completed a course in art valuation at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, and graduated from Sotheby’s Institute of Art courses. Moving to America in 2018 was a turning point in her life, transforming her worldview and giving her the opportunity to create the kind of art she always wanted. In America, she found the freedom she had long sought, embracing the liberty that allowed her to express herself through her work. Happi’s artwork is deeply connected to themes of psychology, self-reflection, equality, women’s rights, and environmental protection. Her art reflects a personal journey of struggle and liberation, challenging societal stereotypes and expectations, particularly those faced by women in modern society. Through her work, she brings attention to these issues and explores the complexity of self-discovery and social identity.
