Her work also appears on Artist Statement (from her 2010 Exhibition "Scapes" at The Putney Arts Theatre, Ravenna Road, Putney, London) Fiona depicts urban landscapes from around the world. In these Urban landscapes she attempts to capture the abstract forms and shapes, the culture of cities, the erosion of time and environment (Venice series). Her choice of Subject matter evokes a nostalgia of a place visited, a snap shot of a moment in time. A study of colour, geometry and balance, rhythm and overlapping shape, abstractions, rendered in the gritty urban mundane and commonplace, backstreets in Madrid and Florence, a side street in San Francisco. "Cities are a product of time. They are the molds in which mens lifetimes have cooled and congealed, giving lasting shape, by way of art, to moments that would otherwise vanish with the living and leave no means of renewal or wider participation behind them.."- Lewis Mumford - The Culture of Cities Her landscape paintings depict the colours, contours, light, form, texture of various landscapes around the world. The Tuscan Landscapes;sun-drenched straight rows of grape vines, The soaring heights of the copper Walls of the grand canyon, the colours, textures and contours of a seascape on Frasier Island Australia.
