In difficult times ‘finding the light’ can sometimes be a difficult challenge. For landscape painter, David Sheldon, looking to Nature has been his source for not only inspiration, but a means to connect with ‘something greater’. With that in mind, the painter seeks out moments in Nature that are charged with light, sometimes directly, sometimes subtly - but it’s always there in some capacity. Painting ‘ecstatic moments’ in Nature is the painter’s way of expressing something eternal and lasting, and hopefully transmit something of real substance to the viewer. These paintings sell very quickly - they are amazing in person, impossible to fully appreciate the impasto effect online.
