ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Grande Durbar was made acrylic paint on plantain jacket and it communicates the sense of community which is gradually disappearing from the Ghanaian society. This is a lesson in history. A remainder of how communication between leaders and the community was done. It's also an event which provides the most entertainment value. Hence durbars are highly anticipated events in the Ghanaian society.

I was born in Accra, Ghana but I live at Somanya,Ghana. In 2015, I developed a new material on which I make my paintings. This material was made from plantain leaves so I named it "Plantain jacket". The material gives all my work a unique outlook as it's a refreshing deviation from the traditional canvas material. I love to explore any genre of art whenever I'm inspired enough. Hence I have works in almost every genre. My core competencies are however, are in Advance work, expressionism and a bit of abstract. Most of my works are inspired by of my experiences growing up as a Ghanaian child. So most of them are recollections of my fondest memories.
