Above photo of hiking into the Grand Canyon, Arizona to paint plein air at the bottom of the canyon. I started painting at an early age after receiving one of those wooden paint sets with rows of oil paint tubes as a Christmas present. That was magic. I enjoy painting “the magic hour” of sunrise and sunset for the unique colors and tints that are created. The passage of time is what I like to capture in my painting. l use good quality paints-oil and acrylic so the painting will last you for a long-long time and enjoyment. I painted for the first ten years in oil as an impressionist after studying the the great French painters especially Monet and Renoir.. The last 15 years my paintings have become increasingly more abstract and expressionist.
