I have been painting for 6 years, as a self taught artist. My inspiration comes from my imagination, with an emotional component of my paintings coming from coming from my life experiences. I was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy; suffering from depression brought on by service related trauma causing PTSD. Living with this for 40 years has brought a lot of challenges and obstacles, leaving me largely defined by those experiences. I paintings often have subtle hints of my personality and life experiences. I paint with a wide palette of color and many styles; starting as a post impressionist, now with more of a geometric abstraction and surrealist style. As an artist I hope my paintings grab your attention. That the colors fill your senses and you're moved to emotion or intellectual interest.
