This painting was inspired by a trip to Lucca in Tuscany, Italy. The square or piazza was busy with people having lunch and shopping. But I was intrigued by the couple gazing at the statue in the center of the piazza. The statue seemed a bit stern. I hope you can feel the warmth of the sun pouring in between the buildings. Smell the delicious aromas emanating from the many busy kitchens. And finally wonder with me about the significance of the statue. If this moment in time is something you would like to contemplate further please consider adding it to your collection so you can enjoy it everyday.
