Joan Zamora is a multi-disciplinary artist who came to the United States illegally at the age of eight from Mexico. Her addresses have included: Bell Gardens, Panorama City, Sun Valley, London, San Francisco and East LA. Her main focus is surreal portraits and landscapes about the people and places around different Los Angeles neighborhoods. She currently lives in South Los Angeles and works with students with disabilities in Koreatown.
