Art is a gateway to reality. Art gives me access to the unknown and intangible and it has enabled me to communicate in ways that were never possible with words and numbers. I paint abstract and figurative works inspired by nature, landscapes, buildings, people and maps. I think about colour interactions and movement. And I'm really interested in painting multiple layers which represent to me the influences of personal experience, economic, cultural and social factors which make us who we are and inform our perceptions and interactions. Up until mid-2018 I pursued a career in banking spanning 22 years, working in credit risk management.
