Hamsa is a protective symbol. It is talismanic symbol that people believed to protect them from harm against the evil eye and bring them goodness, abundance, fertility, luck and good health. Many early cultures adopted the eye as an icon for their protection, others used Hamsa and so over time the most popular universal symbol became an eye placed in the palm of a hand In Islam it’s known as the Hand of Fatima, after the daughter of the Prophet of Muhammad Judaism they refer to it as the hand of Miriam, to honor the sister of Moses. In Levantine Christianity it’s known as the hand of Mother Mary, after Jesus’ mother. In Hinduism and Buddhism, however, it takes on a very unique meaning, support various chakra of nature !!!!! .

Minisha Bharadwaj,is a self taught Indian Artist awarded nationally and internationally for her portraiture art. Painting to her is not a taught art, rather an evolved art through life inspirations. Minisha draws her inspiration from the life situations and focuses more on natural sensibilities, portraying the complexities of human emotions and expressions. She does this through blending of colours, textures and her abstract visualisation. Her speciality is in Charcoal domain and of finger techniques and knife paintings. Through her art she celebrates human emotions and illusions, trace the mark people make on the world. Through her art she finds the beauty in some run-down old porch, and gets drawn towards prism created by broken glass. Her art sees the unseen, feels the unfelt and hears the unheard. She also conducts talks and workshops at various institutions in Dubai sharing the beauty and secrets of art. She loves to share her love of art with differently abled students and tries to instil and encourage artistic abilities in the younger generation. She has been actively engaged with organizations that reach out to underprivileged communities thereby giving purpose and inspiration to her art.
