I have studied at the Classical Academy of Fine Arts in Groningen, where I developed a deep appreciation for realistic painting. My work focuses primarily on painting people and animals, using oil on linen as my medium. I strive to capture the world as I see it, creating portraits of individuals and animals that touch and inspire me. Landscapes also play an important role in my work, as I aim to capture the power and beauty of nature. However, my preference lies in portrait and figure painting, where I find the challenge in realistically portraying the beauty and vulnerability of the human being. My goal with my art is to depict people sincerely and respectfully, hoping that my paintings offer a glimpse into the inner world of the individuals I portray. Each painting invites the viewer to reflect on the deep emotions and human experiences that connect us all. Through my work, I aim to provide an authentic and respectful reflection of the human experience, with each portrait speaking and telling a story.
