ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This original painting was part of an *Invitation Only* Maryland Artist's exhibit at Baltimore Washington International Airport from 2019-2020 through Maryland Federation of Art. It was featured in the International Terminal with two other original large works from my personal collection. This piece has been a favorite since it's inception, but I am needing more space and am willing to part with this piece for that reason alone. The first in my "Harbor Lights" series of three total pieces in 2019, Harbor Lights (Annapolis) is a study of my favorite pre-Revolution town in the late evening, headed down Main to the Harbor. It's one of my favorite places to people-watch, stroll, and have a nice meal with an old friend. Stylistically, this is very much my own painting technique, developed in 2019. It is still very much a process I rely on to create my own "interpretive realism" pieces. Each offer a nod to a subject matter while still presenting as very much an abstract works. Please contact me for pricing on limited edition signed and numbered giclee prints on canvas.

I’m a self-taught artist and paint-slinger. I work in acrylic, watercolor, ink, and oil on paper and canvas. In 2020, my primary studio moved to Traverse City, Michigan. We simply needed to slow down and focus on living more deliberately. As a blessed wife and mom to four wonderful kiddos, I never lack for inspiration. My work continues to morph and evolve and I rarely stay in one original style for too long. An occupational hazard for certain— But, life is too short to get stuck and stay there.
