Art Statement- "The true essence of nature and its subconscious influence on us primarily forms the subject of my work. I have been fascinated with this interaction of human creations, the elements of nature and the many dimensions created thus. Through my work the attempt is to create a visual tension that challenges the viewer and evokes emotions as deep, subtle and diverse as nature." Arti Saxena is a visual artist born in Bhopal (India), and raised in multiple cities across the country owing to her family being from the armed forces. She currently lives in Mumbai (India). She has over 16 years of working as a management professional, however, art has always been her passion, and she is now a full-time practicing artist. She is inspired by the impressionist and neo-impressionist styles, and one can clearly see this reflecting in her work. Her earliest inspiration was her father, who painted as a hobby during his Army days. It took a journey of its own in her life as she continued practicing art. She is a self-taught artist, however, she is being mentored by Artist Kisalay Vora, who has been a great inspiration in her artistic journey.
