ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Inspired by the hibiscus flower, one of my favourite flowers, this large vibrant abstract floral painting is full of movement and energy. I was lucky to visit the Eden project in Cornwall and surround myself with floral inspiration for my paintings, including many variants of the beautiful hibiscus flower, which inspired this artwork. I love the free flowing lines and bursting effect on this one, as if the flowers are jumping out to interact with you. This piece would create a great centrepiece for any room. All original paintings are hand signed on the front, with their title and size written on the back. You will also receive a certificate of authenticity. I finish my paintings with a protective layer of satin varnish. The varnish protects and enhances the painting and ensures the colours do not fade over time.

I love colour, contrast and bold patterns. I love creating something out of nothing. I love the escapism and freedom that creating art provides, and I love being able to do something I'm passionate about and motivated by every day. I create vibrant acrylic paintings inspired by the colours, shapes and patterns found in nature. I particularly love taking one of two oversized flowers and abstracting them with bright colours and expressive marks. I like having a reference for my pieces, but I also like to develop it into something different and decorative which I think will look striking and interesting on the wall. Now based in London, UK, I was born in Manchester, UK. I'm a self taught artist, who has always practiced art in various forms. I'm represented by various UK galleries, and I participate in exhibitions in the UK throughout the year. I am also a selected member of ArtCan Organisation.
