Highway, Highway No.8 Print

This series of works is inspired by the long highways in travel. The distance from one place to another was far, and the vast landscape outside the car window seemed to frozen still in the rapid movement. In the almost primitive environment, the few imprints of human existence stood alone. We seem to have long been accustomed to living in the artificial and virtual sphere, withdrawing from the world we are supposed to inhabit. The intimate connection between man and the world at its origin has been cut off and obscured, and the perception and viewing of the world has become almost entirely schematic, indirect and objectified. This is not only caused by the spatial distance, but perhaps the loneliness and emptiness of people nowadays originate from the forgetfulness of the transcendental dimension. I try to use painting as an ancient way to rediscover the receding mystery and revelation in today's world.
