Marine IMBERT was born on August 29, 1986, in Nice. At the age of 7, she moved to Lebanon where she discovered oriental culture, the cradle of civilizations. The mixture of historical richness and creativity thus contributes to nourishing her passion for Art and its representations. Back in France, she continued her studies specializing in visual communication. After working for a few years as a graphic designer freelance and for an agency, she decided to stop working in advertising to finally devote herself to her passion and artistic research. Having become a true self-taught artist, Marine uses oil painting, acrylic as well as watercolor depending on the emotion she wishes to communicate and then invites the viewer to access his own emotional state. Marine IMBERT is concerned with Classicism, Surrealism, Street art and even Art Nouveau, but the artistic movement to which she feels closest to at present is called "Disrupted Realism". This movement explores various artistic methods in order to combine realism and abstraction. According to Marine, the representation of women's bodies is a vector of sensitivity. Subject to multiple challenges, the current movement of "LIBERATION" has gained momentum, driven by advances in technology and the consumer society. This illusion game makes us believe that we are all connected to what surrounds us, going through the cult of the perfect image and leaving behind education and emotion. With a desire for perfection in rendering, Marine IMBERT voluntarily detaches her subjects from their environments in her paintings, highlighting them with different textures and patterns. Through her works, Marine seeks to communicate sensations, feelings and the feminine experience.
