ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a painting of a boy swimming underwater in a cloud of bubbles. Inspired by my son, and a recent summer holiday spent with family, this painting can be any child of that age. I love water, and movement and splashing, and bubbles, and this was an enjoyable piece for me to execute.

Terri Smith (formerly Kelleher) was born in the USA, but moved to Ireland in 1994 where she currently works as a freelance illustrator/artist. She has been illustrating children's books since 2012 and has illustrated +/- 50 books. In 2014, she received the Kuykendall Image Award for Excellence in Illustration for her work in Nancy Scalabroni's book, "Couga Monga Minga Man." Terri also creates work for exhibition and privately commissioned pieces.
