ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was a result of playing with the curvilinear rectangular shape derived from woodcuts that I have come to love. After that I used expressive mark making to with charcoal. After the fact and opon reflection as I compiled the Extraction series(a series of artwork of what I have felt a need to extract from my desires and life) I came to know that for me this painting represented the exclusion of the interesting, but creepy and horrible from my life. What could it represent for you?
