ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I created this painting to represent the pain and profound black hole I went through at the age of 27 when the doctors told me I had schizophrenia. The black crows represent my turbulent thoughts and darkness emanating from my very soul. But I painted the birds escaping away from the storm because I was later freed from that emotional pain.

Currently I am pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I have won a scholarship for my teaching as well as maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. I live in Cote Saint Luc, Quebec, Canada. I speak English and French fluently and I am half British. As a child I demonstrated an early talent in drawing and painting winning a couple of local art contests. I continued that winning streak throughout high school and college winning a few more art contests. I worked in commercial art for a few years as an illustrator, graphic designer and 3D animator after I graduated from college. Wanting a change, I completed a BFA in Studio Arts at Concordia University in 2007. After graduation I worked as a drawing instructor at a private college for eight (8) years, I then taught at The Cummings Centre for four (4) years. Currently I am completing the MFA and teaching remotely at Triple AAA Academy in Saint Denis, Réunion Island.
