Painter. Illustrator. Designer. Poet. Founder of dotsofpaint studios located in California. I write and paint in a meditative state seeking the relationship between the living and dying, and the intricacies of the mess that lies between. My work is inspired and expressed by bold color and texture found in a combination of natural and fantasy worlds. It is filled with hidden words and humor, relationships and their painted mysteries showcasing my life-long stories of observation. My subject matter varies, but usually includes rocks, plant life, and animals of land and sea. I believe that the earth and all its creatures share a common truth, a mystery within an abundance of similarities. This mystery is what I pursue in my art. Inspired by water, color, emotions, and the natural world, I am forever discovering new angles and directions. To me, it's all about the paint.
