ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"I don't see you" is a picture that speaks of the voluntary act of not facing reality. Often this behavior represents a form of defense towards the outside, and can become a cornerstone of our daily life. What increasingly makes us turn our gaze elsewhere is the fear of what is different, extraneous, foreign. Currently, this sentiment is ridden with increasing insistence by conservative political factions in Western countries of the world. This forced indifference, however, limits our gaze only to the side of reality that social practice allows us to observe, as if only one half of the world was illuminated while the other was destined for darkness.
