ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This self-portrait plays with perspective. From a distance, the portrait looks smooth and 3-dimensional. As you move closer, you begin to see that the portrait is made up of small black dots creating the shadows on a white canvas. Much like life, we don't see the beauty of a person without looking at their big picture, and all the details that make up who they are.

I am Canadian currently living in Florida. I have primarily worked with acrylic paints and inks, and have begun exploring watercolours and collage, and have dabbled in sculpture, installation, and design.
