Paula Cabral Muchacho (1992) is an artist and architect from Venezuela living in Barcelona, Spain. She possesses a keen sensitivity for space, scale, light, and color, which she incorporates into her work. Her curiosity for design from a young age was reflected in her interests. She took art classes and experimented with various media, like charcoal, graphite, pastels, and oils. Parallel to studying and working in architecture, in 2010 she designed necklaces from textiles, natural stones, recycled plastic, and metals, which turned into a jewelry brand ¨BAYA¨, exported to different countries and published in several magazines. Currently, she is focusing on visual arts to respond to the necessity of expressing herself more freely and authentically. Also, she is collaborating in ongoing experimentation to apply her paintings to different wearable art forms.
