Messy thoughts can end up in exciting new connections. Each mind works in a unique way, give it time to understand its mess and embrace what it's really telling you. From the series ¨The moment¨ ¿What are we really pursuing? ¿What if we really listen to ourselves? ¿What if we just focus on living? This series honors the process, honors the pure enjoyment of creating, for the sake of expressing and living. The outcome is just a consequence of it. We all have a sensor inside that speaks to us, there is something telling us what to do, what we like, and what is good for us...Maybe without really knowing why at the moment. We can lose this dialogue with our sensor and connection with ourselves by denying us and forcing us to fit into society's rules, focusing on goals, trying to control everything, and forgetting ourselves. This is an exercise of listening to myself, of restoring and re-learning the language of my sensor. An exercise of letting go of what I am supposed to be, and just be, an exercise of healing, of being present. An exercise of living. The spontaneity of the marks and traces reflect the impulses of the moment and in some cases the obsessive repetition, just for the pleasure of making them. It ended up in gracious art that teaches us that listening to ourselves truly and letting go, can result in a beautiful experience of living, with results that we could never really have planned. I don't want results, I want experiences.

Paula Cabral Muchacho (1992) is an artist and architect from Venezuela living in Barcelona, Spain. She possesses a keen sensitivity for space, scale, light, and color, which she incorporates into her work. Her curiosity for design from a young age was reflected in her interests. She took art classes and experimented with various media, like charcoal, graphite, pastels, and oils. Parallel to studying and working in architecture, in 2010 she designed necklaces from textiles, natural stones, recycled plastic, and metals, which turned into a jewelry brand ¨BAYA¨, exported to different countries and published in several magazines. Currently, she is focusing on visual arts to respond to the necessity of expressing herself more freely and authentically. Also, she is collaborating in ongoing experimentation to apply her paintings to different wearable art forms.
