In her expressionistic works, Irene expresses feelings and experiences through a certain distortion of reality. In her works there is a deviation from reality due to the use of another, extraordinary reality, the colour scheme of which is born intuitively. To emphasize feelings, to enhance expressiveness, she distorts natural objects and, sometimes, deliberately modifies the perspective. Other academic rules and forms are deliberately avoided.
