ABOUT THE ARTWORK

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

I create this composition several years ago. I took a shot of the scene and after I painted the subject with oil color on canvas. I focused my attention only on the "protagonists" with a neutral/absent background. I wished to give emphasis to the paper bag folds and nutshells.

Riccardo Bozzi was born in Milan and, since he was a child, finds himself immersed in creative world: his father Floriano Bozzi, a skilled cartoonist and illustrator, has his studio in his home from which friends and colleagues transit, all belonging to that world. The contact with that context, the daily observation of father's work, makes him desire spontaneously to follow that path. He attended the artistic high school and, subsequently, the Polytechnic school of Design with graphic design address; in those years the parents founded a publishing house and, with the help of numerous friends, they created an editorial product dedicated to the teaching of drawing and painting. Riccardo was immediately involved in the new business, where he had the opportunity to devote himself to the graphic aspects, acquiring experiences in the photographic, graphic layout, prepress and printing fields and, slowly, he found a way to experiment and enrich his skills of drawing and painting. The overbearing advent of the computer in the graphic field opens up new horizons and interests which Riccardo immediately embraces, sensing what creative potential that tool would have allowed to express. Over the years the passion for photography never fails and, with the advent of digital, it finds new vigor; the knoledge in image manipulation software integrates perfectly with the use of digital photography, paving the way for new experiences in this area too. In 1995, after the death of his father, he decided to put to use all those skills, accumulated over the years, and to try his hand at drawing and painting, producing works dedicated to the books he continues to publish. His works are characterized by easy "readability" and adherence to traditional canons of painting precisely because they are aimed at a educational purposes. The goal for which these pictures are created allow him to experiment various pictorial techniques and various topics. What appears to be a creative bond, enhances his path of artistic growth in terms of formal research and discovery of one's skills.
