This a semi-abstract impressionistic floral landscape oil painting. I was inspired by the lush blooming roses in the garden in June and painted them on location. *** For my paintings I strictly follow all the rules for conservation to make sure you can enjoy them for years to come, with no fading, cracking, bubbling, warping or other problems. I try to buy the best art supplies. I use professional lines for oil paints to avoid yellowing and fading. For the support, I almost always use Belgium linen or Jackson’s linen board. If I used a different support material, this is always reflected in the price. All my paintings receive final coat of varnish. Every buyer can enjoy a peace of mind that their painting will remain unaffected by time. As long as the painting has been stored properly, I am happy to offer a free lifetime repair guarantee for each piece.

I am a passionate plain-air painter: painting outside, on location, is essential for creating my landscapes. To capture the feel and spirituality of the moment I have to work fast in plein air before the scene changes and often have to return to the locations several times to directly observe the scene and study the light and colour variations: photographs are a poor substitute to a live impression. I also paint still lives, especially flowers, and figure compositions. Similar to my landscapes I usually paint while directly observing the subject and creating multiple studies to bring genuine emotions onto the canvas.
