In Other Worlds was created as part of the Abandon collection, a series of pieces created during Spring 2020 Inspired by the changing world as human activity was forced to slow down - In Other Worlds take inspiration from the need for a change in the way we conduct our lives and a call to action to be different, live differently and make space for other life on Earth to flourish. “Make your last journey from this strange world soar for the heights where there is no more separation of you and your home God has created your wings not to be dormant as long as you are alive you must try more and more to use your wings to show you’re alive.” Rumi UK artist Genevieve Leavold is a rising talent in the emerging art scene, she had sell-out Solo show in London in 2019 and is included in The Other Art Fair Online Studios - Chicago Edition. Her work is collected worldwide.

Genevieve Leavold is a British abstract Painter based in Frome, U.K. Predominantly known for her freeform, organic paintings, her reverence for spontaneous gesture in her paintings draws from Zen, Buddhism and other ancient Eastern philosophies which embrace the beauty of purposelessness and play. Her whole approach is one of immediacy, working wet colour into wet and layering glazes gives her work its recognisable softness and form. b.1980 Somerset UK. Genevieve Leavold originally trained and worked in Theatre Design before taking the decision to return her focus to painting. She completed studio courses at Central Saint Martin in 2007 and 2012. She has exhibited widely in the UK, Europe and the USA and has work in private and corporate collections worldwide.
