ABOUT THE ARTWORK
'In Our Lives' is the result of a performance-based painting, in which I explore the notion of hopes for the future. My practice explores the relationship between colour, mark and its correlation and interpretation to emotions and mental states. The performance paintings were an investigation into inciting emotions to document the outcomes through paint and movement and were achieved by various stimuli; music, goal planning, automatic journaling and inducing emotions through experiencing past memorabilia.
