SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Even in the dark moments of life, if we see from far, we can joke about it, and if we can, life becomes less burdensome. That is why I love to incorporate some funny, superficial elements in some of my paintings, like, here, I used a piece of wrapping papers with bright colors and cartoon characters....

I would like to share a recent review of my artworks by Dallas Jeff. Here is the link : +Prints+and+Stamp+Techniques%3A+Art+by+Mandira+Bhaduri ...................................................................................... I am an artist and a language teacher. I started to paint seriously when I moved to USA from Kolkata for the job of teaching Bangla language in the University of Michigan. Uprooting from my known world had a serious impact on me. Away from my family, my friends and the comfort of my culture put me in a void, in a feeling of nothingness. Then the most beautiful thing happened to me. World of colors, lines and forms engulfed me and I found that art was becoming a channel through which I could express my happiness, pain, tears, laughter, fear and courage. I try to make sense of this nonsensical harsh world through my painting. After leaving University of Michigan, I moved to Chicago as a Bengali lecturer in the University of Chicago and taught there until June,2016. Currently, I am in Kolkata, India. I am teaching Bangla language online, enjoying being in my hometown and missing Chicago terribly as it was my second home for nine years in a land far far away.
