I stopped exhibiting in 2019 after a brain cancer diagnosis. I only allowed my surgeon to remove half the cancer (astrocytoma Grade 3) due to the fact that removing it entirely would have resulted in me having a lack of ability to communicate and move freely. The thought of never again saying “I love you” to my husband and four children was the catalyst for my decision! Denying the offer to undergo chemotherapy and radiation, I have launched myself on a very interesting and rewarding healing journey. Part of which was changing from acrylic paints, which I loved. It took me a while to select my mediums based on toxicity, and even longer to master them! I never know how each artwork will look when I begin them. My artworks are so full of creativity I would never be able to duplicate a single one of them. I invite you to look at every section of my art and hope that you enjoy the layers as much as I have enjoyed the journey of creation.
