"Innocent dreams" Fine Art Print

Expressing emotions through my art is what I’m passionate about. I have always loved drawing and holding a pencil is one of my first happy memories. I started scribbling when I was very young and never stopped. I used to draw for fun, draw when I was sad, draw when I was bored. It was always the right thing to do. And today, creating a new piece of work gives me more satisfaction than anything else.

When painting, I feel I must commit a piece of my soul to each image. To me, words are an insufficient way to express feelings, so I try to enable my hands to reach inside myself to pull emotions from deep within. I then inject these into my canvas in the hope that I can communicate authentically with others in a way that allows them to experience the same feelings.

In my commissioned portraiture, I strive to reveal the personality of the sitter in a way that positively reflects their own ego and self-image and that will be familiar to people who know them well. Where appropriate, I sometimes add objects or mementos from their life, in order to convey aspects of their psyche that may otherwise go unnoticed.
