ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I began this journey almost twenty years ago. She comes and goes as She pleases. I was inspired as a young artist by Hindu Goddesses, Indian art, ancient tribal art, African art and I was absorbing images of women. I was interested in fashion and Barbies but in a mannequin/designer way. She has evolved from drawing to collage to acrylic painting. She is what I aspire to be. Unapologetic, unafraid of being vulnerable, showing all her curves and angles. She is authentically herself and maybe She is you. All paintings are ready for hanging.
