My name is Mere Langmaid, I am an artist, and I live in the Mornington Peninsula in Australia. I have been painting for most of my life ,and have studied Photography and fine arts for four years. I enjoy working with oils and acrylics , accentuating textures, style, and mood into my work.. Currently working on a collection to convey, and hopefully bring forward paintings with tasteful fantasy , mystery, and intrigue. Having owned an Art gallery for a period of time, is where I have supported local artists in an enjoyable environment ,where the artists felt comfortable in expressing their own ideas..My influences are artists such as, Gustav Klimt , I find his work to be very tasteful and surreal . Aubrey Vincent Beardsley for his fine black ink drawings.. Rembrandt for his great significance to the artworld with his depiction of a wide range of style and subject matter, storytelling with mysterious shadows . favoring so many artists only naming a few .l have chosen to work in an exuberant romantic style, currently enjoying working this way, and wish to create an emotional atmospheric feeling of color, light and shade. l would like my paintings to stand exclusively , so anyone can move in with their own thoughts, feelings. I hope you enjoy my work !
