My artworks are inspired by the city birds, which, to me, are a perfect representation of freedom. Birds like seagulls and pigeons are free to fly wherever they please, including private rooftop pools and terraces of the finest restaurants - where they may steal your meal from the table because they can. The world seems to be their oyster, sometimes quite literally. Through bird and sealife paintings, I express my love and passion for the moments of happiness and freedom one can experience during travel. Travel is living life to its fullest - being a food for all senses and a kaleidoscope of sensations that can be experienced in a foreign land. My aim is to capture those moments and relive the feeling of childlike excitement through my works through the animals I encounter and in the environment in which I find them in, e.g., against the backdrop of picturesque gardens, terraces, beaches, and pools.
